Haley Kallenberg graduated summa cum laude from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, USA where she finished a Bachelor of Music. She has studied under Janice Giteck, Jarrad Powell, Three-time Latin Grammy nominee Jovino Santos Neto, George Lucktenberg, and Jazz legend Julian Prister. Kallenberg currently maintains an international performing career as a composer/ pianist while based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. She has performed with many of the world’s most prestigious artists such as Moscow Philharmonic pianist, Galena Preobrazhenskaya in the USA and Wagner Tiso in Brazil. In May 2012 Kallenberg debuted at Carnegie Hall in New York City performing her winning composition in the Ibla Winners Concert.

Haley Kallenberg recently debuted at Carnegie Hall as a composer performer in the Ibla Foundation Winners Concert on May 1, 2012 in New York City. In the summer of 2011, in Sicily, Italy at the Ibla World Music Competition Kallenberg was awarded the Grand Prize “Most Distinguished Composer”. Additionally the International Jury committee made “Special Mention” of her own performance of her solo piano composition entitled “JEX.” She was featured in the winners’ concerts at Carnegie Hall performing her winning composition. As a result of the prestigious performance Kallenberg will begin recording her solo piano album of original compositions this spring in New York.

Kallenberg was raised in the rural fishing village of Homer, Alaska, USA. She began studying piano at age three and took up composing as soon as she had command of the keys. She studied classical piano and composition throughout her entire childhood including three weeks at the famed Rachmaninoff Music Institute in Russia when she was just 10 years old. At the age of twelve she was featured in performance with Moscow Philharmonic pianist Galena Preobrazhenskay in a performance in the United States. As a teenager attending the Interlochen Summer Fine Arts Camp in Michigan USA during 1998 and 2000 Kallenberg`s compositions were called “the best in the class” by Dr. John Beall. While growing up Kallenberg also had vast practical experience with the greater world of classical music while traveling with her mother, internationally known flutist, Terry Kallenberg. 

Kallenberg`s teaching experience spans 15 years, including work in The USA, Japan and the Middle East. She currently teaches music in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and is also often heard performing in important venues throughout the region and abroad. She has lectured and given master classes on the topic of spontaneous composition at the Canadian University in Dubai and also regularly travels to Brazil where she has been a guest lecturer and master class teacher at the Universidad Federal da Paraiba of the same topic. In Brazil she has shared the stage with some of the country`s top artists including Paralamas do Sucesso, Wagner Tiso and Victor Biglione.

Haley Kallenberg has done extensive international touring as a composer performer. She has also composed for and/or performed at home and abroad with the Pacific Rim Ensemble, Seattle Chamber Players, The Esoterics, St. Helen`s String Quartet and Dr. David Witten to name a few. She studied piano and/orcomposition with Jarrad Powell, Dr. John Beall, Janice Giteck, Amy Rubin, Dr. Daniel McCarthy, Dr. George Belden, three-time Latin Grammy nominee Jovino Santos Neto, George Lucktenberg, Alla Artemyev, Dr. Eduard Zilberkunt, Karen Strid-Chadwich, Dr. Peter Mac, Tim Kennedy, Mark Sampson and Dr. Dwight Dickerson. 

While working on her Bachelor of Music Degree in Seattle, Kallenberg also works as a cultural and educational events promoter and advocate for music. She has organized many events featuring musicians and developing an appreciation of arts within many communities around the globe.
